Firmwalk & Softwalk Series

Our rebonded polyurethane foam are made from carefully selected quality recycled foam material. The two series of PU foam underlays, the Softwalk and the Firmwalk Series provide a wide range of possibilities and choices to suit the budget of the individual customer. All are made of 100% recyclable material of the highest quality. They are permeable and may be laid over a wood floor.

 

The Softwalk Series is a medium density polyurethane foam underlay in various thicknesses for general commercial and residential use. They are light and easy to handle and suited for lower budget and less demanding applications.

 

The Firmwalk Series is a higher density polyurethane foam underlay also in various thickness for general commercial and contract use. They are slightly heavier and hence more stable and more resilient with better performance compared to the Softwalk Series. They are recommended for general and heavy commercial use and are suitable for lower budget hotel guest rooms, restaurants and offices.

 

Being considerably lighter than rubber, it is best used to support lighter carpets where the weight of the carpet will not affect the structure of the foam especially when put under foot pressure. It is an option for areas and projects were budget and not comfort or performance is a primary consideration in the choice of floor coverings. The main usage are low traffic areas such as bedrooms of budget hotels and commercial apartments.

 

(Note : For best performance and durability, natural rubber underlays are the recommended underlays)
